The Work Itself
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of security architects, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Risk Assessment and Management: Oversee the evaluation of security risks associated with new and existing solutions. Identify potential gaps and develop compensating controls to mitigate risks.
- Threat Modeling: Develop and manage threat models for a subset of critical applications, ensuring that potential threats are identified and addressed proactively. Also develop a strategy for continued evolution of the program.
- Solution Architecture: Collaborate with the Cyber Security organization to design and implement secure architectural solutions that align with the company's security policies and best practices.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other architects, developers, and business stakeholders to ensure security is integrated into all aspects of solution development.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure that all security architectures adhere to relevant industry standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current with the latest security trends, technologies, and threats. Continuously assess and improve the organization's security posture.
The Skills You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- 7-10+ years of experience in information security, with a focus on security architecture.
- Proven experience in leading and managing a team of security professionals.
- Strong knowledge of security principles, practices, and technologies.
- Experience with threat modeling, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or TOGAF are a plus.
- Experience with Generative AI governance.
