The Opportunity
Ally Financial Inc.'s Independent Risk Management function is responsible for objective and critical assessment of risks and-through oversight, effective challenge, and other means-evaluation of whether Ally remains aligned with its risk appetite and risk limits.
In this role, the Risk Analyst II - IRM Insurance Risk will be responsible for the monthly, quarterly and annual reporting and analytics in support of the monitoring and review and challenge of the Insurance Business Property and Casualty (P&C) suite of products. The successful candidate will strive for continuous improvement in their work and ownership of reporting and analytics for P&C products, understanding its support in risk reporting as well as review and challenge activities related to pricing, profitability performance, and risk development of the Ally Insurance Business.

The Work Itself
- Own, maintain, develop and complete monthly/quarterly/annual results of the Insurance P&C business and the corresponding key risk metrics associated with their products
- Assist in development and completion of Risk reporting in support of Risk Appetite and Enterprise Risk Management initiatives
- Maintain strong working relationships with Business Line proces owners and subject matter experts
- Track and monitor both the development of use and renewal processes related to reinsurance activity associated with Ally's Dealer Open Lot Insurance
- Support the development and communication of routines to escalate IRM data initiatives within the Risk organization
- Develop new reporting and analytics deliverables and perform ad-hoc analysis as requested by management
The Skills You Bring
- Bachelor's required in relevant subject area; risk, finance, actuarial, economics topics background a plus
- 1+ years of experience
- Reporting role responsible for producing and managing strict deliverables from multiple and complex datasets.
- Ability to build from scratch comprehensive and flexible reporting templates using Microsoft Excel.
- Experience managing large datasets segmented multiple different ways and ability to reconcile datasets to control sources and among alternative reports and schedules.
- Proven analytical skills and ability to effectively synthesize and communicate ideas and insights across the organization, strong presentation skills a plus
- Data analytics skills; experience with analytical tools and software such as Snowflake and Microsoft Office Suite and Bex/SAP required, PowerBI experience a plus.
