The Opportunity

The HR Analyst provides HR data, analytics and operational support to multiple functions within Ally. Supports the HR annual processes and activities and ensures compliance with HR policies. Manages timelines, team logistics and scheduling as necessary. The HR Analyst must be resourceful and flexible to meet the ever-changing needs of the company.

The Work Itself

  • Generates monthly HR transaction and headcount reports, audits, ensures data integrity and provides analysis for key metrics.
  • Manages the annual HR processes for the team, including: developing timelines and key deliverables, tracking of completion, consolidation and analysis for Performance Management, Compensation Planning, Talent Planning and Engagement activities.
  • Evaluates and analyzes data and information from HR reports to determine HR issues impacting the business unit.
  • Supports the annual performance management process in generating status reports on objective setting, mid-year reviews, and year end evaluations.
  • Investigate/reconcile employee data issues in performance management and the learning center.
  • Assists HR Business Partners in researching and investigating employee relations issues.
  • Facilitates the Resource Management process, including approval process for postings and new hires.
  • Partner with the HR Operations team to ensure compliance with ADP data management and administration.
  • Partner with Finance to ensure headcount and business plan alignment.

The Skills You Bring

  • Knowledge of HR disciplines and practices; minimum of 2-5 years of work experience in a professional environment
  • Be hands-on and own it
  • Be proactive and embrace change, being reactive doesn't work in our environment
  • Experience in Human Resources function
  • Detail-oriented individual who can be relied upon to produce accurate deliverables
  • Builds relationships and fosters teamwork: achieves mutual objectives by informing and involving others in solving problems and communicating changes
  • Effective Communications -- clearly conveys information and ideas both orally and in writing. Can interact comfortably and appropriately with more senior managers
  • Organization and Planning -- can orchestrate multiple activities at once to accomplish a goal; anticipates and adjusts for problems and roadblocks
  • Problem Solving -- Uses logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions; can see hidden problems; looks beyond the obvious and doesn't stop at the first answer
  • Analytical Acumen --- Ability to work with, decipher, and present large sets of data

Experience and Skills Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree Required
  • Strong relationship management, collaboration and analytical skills
  • Functional/Technical Skills -- deals with concepts and complexity comfortably; has statistical skills using Microsoft Excel to analyze and organize data
  • Advanced MS Excel knowledge including complex formulas and pivot tables
  • Knowledge of MS Access, SQL, and/or other database tools helpful
  • Experience with Power BI a plus
