Work Schedule: Ally designates roles as (1) fully on-site, (2) hybrid, or (3) fully remote. Hybrid roles are generally expected to be in the office a certain number of days per week as indicated by your manager. The Opportunity

Location: remote but must be located in one of these states: AZ, GA, IL, IN, MO, NC, TN. Ally is excited to offer a career opportunity in our Learning and Development (Automotive Dealer Training) department for a new Training Specialist. This rewarding role will require frequent work week travel including overnights (up to 75% travel is expected) -- candidate must be based near an airport due to travel requirements. Occasional weekend and evening travel may be required. As a Training Specialist you are the connection between Ally Financial Insurance Senior Training Specialists and its internal and external (dealership) learning customers. Working at a national level, the Training Specialist will exhibit trusted autonomy and independent judgement while supporting and delivering training material and consultative services. You will be responsible for leveraging learning tools to train internal and external audiences through a variety of media to meet different customer needs, learning objectives, and styles. You will be a contributor to the review and creation of course content and ongoing training plans and will provide support for audio/video conferencing tools and services.

The Work Itself

  • While working under the support of a Director of Sales Enablement, National Training Manager and/or Senior Training Specialist you will bring:

  • Ability to perform administrative and/or technical learning activities with efficiency and accuracy
  • Support facilitation skills to online/virtual learning environments and technical, administrative, and facilitation support to in-person learning events
  • Passion for handling multiple tasks while meeting project deadlines and budgets in a fast-paced environment
  • Above average computer and technical skills with proficient knowledge of Zoom Conferencing, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel and experience working with web-based applications/workflow tools
  • A desire to assist peers and leaders with the designing, development, and revising of learning materials using effective principles of adult learning theory and evaluation data
  • High-energy facilitation skills when instructing training programs and assisting Senior Training Specialists in their deliveries; this includes consulting with internal and external (dealership) customers to determine training and performance improvement needs
  • A behind the scenes critical support for large learning events -- the unsung hero of the flagship events
  • Relationship building skills that create servant connections with internal and external (dealership) customers, suppliers, and the communities we reside in
  • A life-long learner mentality that maintains expertise in existing and evolving technologies and standards
  • Evaluation of training products, processes, and tools and provide recommendation for use
  • A servant mentorship approach to leading others

The Skills You Bring

  • This rewarding role will require frequent travel including overnights (up to 75% travel is expected) -- candidate must be near an airport due to travel requirements.
  • HS diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in related field strongly preferred
  • 1+ years of Automotive and/or Learning & Development or corporate training experience required.  
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with a mind for collaboration
  • Bilingual in Spanish considered a plus
  • Strong work ethic with a high degree of self-motivation
  • Ability to provide advice/direction in primary areas of expertise
  • Leveraging technical expertise and relationships to contribute to strategy and drive business results
  • Instructional Design and content creation experience highly preferred

Base Pay Range: $55000 - $95000 USD
An individual's position in the range is determined by the specific role, the scope and responsibilities of the role, work experience, education, certification(s), training, and additional qualifications. We review internal pay, the competitive market, and business environment prior to extending an offer. 
Incentive Compensation: This position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan.
