The Opportunity
The Data Developer - Model Implementation will be responsible for implementing data, production processes and reporting solutions for the models developed by Ally's Modeling and Analytics group.
This team member will have opportunity to design and develop capabilities for a modeling and analytics platform in AWS cloud. The individual will actively participate in all aspects of development, testing, code review, and support of these tools and must be proficient in Python, SQL, Linux and BI tools.

The Work Itself
- Responsible for implementing data processes, reporting, validation routines and other activities necessary to ensure data completeness, integrity and security.
- Code and manage production processes running on MPP platforms.
- Contribute to development of tools necessary for model processes using Snowflake, SQL, Python, Shell scripts, Spark, Hadoop, AWS.
- Maintain model platform and applications to meet defined service level agreements and ensure business.
- Ensure complete documentation of processes and procedures are in place and published accordingly.
The Skills You Bring
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Computer Science/Information Systems; Master's degree preferred.
- 3+ years of programming experience preferably in the financial services industry.
- Experience in Snowflake, SQL, Shell scripting, Python, or other scripting tools required.
- Exposure to developing reports in Tableau/Power BI, Excel, or other tools required.
- Exposure to software development life cycles and DevOps tools (e.g., Git, Jira, Jenkins, Confluence) and IDEs like Visual Studio, etc.
- Experience with AWS cloud and cloud database environments, highly preferred.
- Effective in delivering solutions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent team player with attention to detail and the ability to influence and negotiate; self-motivated and open to learning new skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
