The Opportunity

As part of the Commercial Underwriting team, the Commercial Underwriting Administrator is responsible for providing administrative support to various members of our Underwriting team and will primarily be responsible to compile required reports, assemble information requests, update systems and prepare administrative information in support of the credit review process. The individual will work under minimal supervision, be able to multitask and will exercise an appropriate level of initiative and judgment.


The Work Itself

The position covers a variety of administrative tasks including but not limited to the following:

  • Compile administrative review related items (e.g. UCC filings, insurance, licensing and other related items) for Analyst review to ensure that guidelines are met
  • Prepare and proof correspondence, reports and other written material and prioritize work assigned to meet the goals of the Commercial Underwriting team.
  • Support the pre and post-review process, including updating company records, logs and internal control systems.
  • Assist in the on-boarding process for newly hired staff.
  • Create Service Now requests (e.g. order computer equipment and software).
  • Complete required customer screenings.
  • Miscellaneous duties, as assigned.

The Skills You Bring

  • Previous administrative or related experience preferred.
  • HS diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Experience supporting multiple people and appropriately manage competing priorities.
  • Experience working with other administrative personnel to deliver an environment of teamwork and flexibility.
  • Requires proficient use of all Microsoft Office Programs.
  • Customer service skills; detail-oriented; able to work independently; initiative; interpersonal skills; able to multi-task.
  • Organizational skills; results oriented; team player; time management skills.
  • Works with a sense of urgency.
