Work Schedule: Ally designates roles as (1) fully on-site, (2) hybrid, or (3) fully remote. Hybrid roles are generally expected to be in the office a certain number of days per week as indicated by your manager. The Opportunity

Reporting to the Vendor Performance Director, this position is within the Invest & Deposits Vendor Performance team whose goal is optimize all aspects of Invest & Deposits Vendor Relationships throughout their end-to-end lifecycle with Ally. This candidate will be responsible for identifying and preventing emerging issues and risks by developing a deep level of knowledge related to key I&D contractual terms and elements such as operational SLAs, contractual minimums and termination for convenience. These elements are maintained in a repository and leveraged during vendor performance and contract renewal conversations. This candidate will also be responsible for supporting strategic sourcing initiatives, recommending vendor performance improvements and for leading the Vendor Performance Forum to review an aggregate view of monthly vendor performance. As part of this routine, all significant vendor relationships are assigned an overall vendor health score that holistically represents all vendor performance, financial and risk aspects. This role requires a blend of analytical, strategic, and communication skills to oversee vendor relationships, deliver cost savings, and present actionable insights to senior leadership.

The Work Itself

  • Collaborate with various support stakeholders (Relationship Owners, Ally Supply Chain, Finance, Business Line Risk, etc.) to maximize ROI for I&D Vendor Relationships
  • Maintain an up-to-date portfolio of all vendor contracts and relationships owned or managed by Invest & Deposits
  • Subject matter expert on the I&D Vendor Portfolio (overview of services provided, vendors in scope, key contract terms, contract expiration dates, PO balances, etc.)
    • Maintain contract repository where key contractual elements are stored and maintained, such as Termination for Convenience language and contractual spend minimums. 
    • Refresh operational SLAs repository across I&D and standardize a “best in class" version of SLAs (with support from Tech BILD & Digital) so that ROs have a starting point to identify what good looks like. 
    • Develop and proactively document areas of focus/vendor improvements that can be leveraged during contract renewals/negotiations and will better assist ROs and limit operational risk exposure to I&D.
  • Support Strategic I&D Vendors with Invoice Reconciliation, PO Management, and (at times) an input into FP&A Planning Functions based on firsthand knowledge/understanding of vendor invoices.
  • Consolidate monthly vendor performance into an aggregated view with ability to speak to emerging issues/risks for leadership. Review and audit monthly Vendor Health Scorecards.
  • Administer of all Vendor system updates (i.e. Coupa PRs/Change Orders, Archer support modifications)
  • Development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures 'SOP' to minimize operational risk
  • Support Invest & Deposits ROs in consistency, guidance and direction in matters concerning the interpretation and application of Ally policies, standards, business continuity planning, best practices and, tools and projects
  • Comprehends the Ally Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) framework and associated deliverables required for each level of vendor (Critical, High, Medium etc.)

The Skills You Bring

  • 3+ years of sourcing, vendor management or risk management experience required
  • Previous experience managing a vendor relationship
  • Knowledge of Third Party Risk Management requirements in the financial services industry preferred
  • Contract negotiation and other relevant contract management experience preferred
  • Proficient technical skills in Excel, Power BI, Archer and Coupa
  • High level of written and oral communication skills; Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal business partners.
  • Accountable, organized, and self-driven to continuously raise the bar.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and strong analytical skills
  • Negotiation/conflict resolution skills
  • Must be an independent worker with strong time management skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in fast paced environment
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience

Base Pay Range: $70000 - $120000 USD
An individual's position in the range is determined by the specific role, the scope and responsibilities of the role, work experience, education, certification(s), training, and additional qualifications. We review internal pay, the competitive market, and business environment prior to extending an offer. 
Incentive Compensation: This position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan.
