The Opportunity
The Senior Compliance Analyst will support the Privacy Compliance team in the maintenance of an effective Compliance Program by working with the lines of business to mitigate compliance risks by ensuring that the day-to-day operations are conducted in compliance with regulatory and legal requirements, in addition to company policies and procedures.
The Work Itself
- Perform ongoing monitoring and oversight activities to ensure compliance with privacy laws (i.e. GLBA, CCPA)
- Assist in mentorship and effective challenge related to initiatives with a privacy impact
- Complete risk assessments for the purpose of developing controls to mitigate identified risks
- Identify and bring up Issues related to thematic compliance risks
- Assist in preparation of governance and Board related reports
- Participate in timely responses to regulatory exams and internal audits, by assisting with the collection of materials and tracking/reporting
- Assist in the review and development of business line procedures
- Complete continuous monitoring routines as applicable
The Skills You Bring
- 3+ years related compliance or risk experience required; financial services experience strongly preferred.
- Must have Privacy Experience
- Degree in Business, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
- Baseline understanding of laws and regulations related to Privacy and Cyber -- e.g., GLBA, and NYDFS; (preferred)
- Understanding of compliance as it relates to laws, rules, regulations, guidance, and compliance risk
- Strong attention to detail; excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks simultaneously;
- Strong investigation and research skill
