The Opportunity
The Media Operations Manager leads the design and management of end-to-end media processes, ensuring standardized workflows across channels and strong operational execution throughout the media lifecycle. This role oversees critical functions including taxonomy, trafficking, pixel tracking, budget management, pacing, actuals, accruals, documentation, and data flow integration, while maintaining essential governance tools such as brand safety tracking and key operational cadences. The position also serves as a central partner in coordinating media systems, process discipline, and cross-functional alignment, with a forward-looking focus on enabling AI-driven workflows across budgets and reporting.
The Work Itself
- Manage media process design and end-to-end workflow management, standardizing operational processes across media channels to drive consistency, efficiency, and scalability. Support the onboarding, training, and documentation of media processes, tools, and best practices for team members.
- Partner with Ad Operations to oversee taxonomy development, trafficking execution, and pixel tracking to ensure accurate campaign setup, measurement, and compliance. Establish quality assurance processes for trafficking, tagging, naming conventions, and reporting outputs.
- Maintain and optimize media operating procedures, playbooks, and workflow documentation.
- Manage the holistic media flowchart and Sigma data flow integration to support cross-channel planning, visibility, and reporting accuracy.
- Partner with Marketing Ops on holistic media budget management and tracking, including documentation and tracking of media budget revisions across campaigns and initiatives.
- Partner with Marketing Ops to track media budget pacing and actuals to ensure financial accuracy, timely reconciliation, and alignment with investment plans.
- Maintain the media brand safety tracker, ensuring proper monitoring, governance, and adherence to brand suitability standards. Ensure compliance with data privacy, brand safety, and platform policy requirements across media execution.
- Coordinate Media Magic and other key media meetings, driving operational alignment, agenda management, and follow-through across stakeholders.
- Advance future-facing operational capabilities by enabling AI-driven workflows across budget allocation and reporting processes. Evaluate and implement new tools, automation opportunities, and workflow technologies to improve media operations.
The Skills You Bring
- 7+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Media and/or Advertising
- Experience in social marketing, SEO marketing and multi-channel campaigns preferred.
- 7+ years of professional experience in a media role or media agency
- Knowledge of auto or financial services business
- Experience presenting
- Strong MS Excel skills
- Ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues inside and outside the organization
- Prior digital/social agency experience.
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Works well under pressure and able to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to work and make decisions independently
- Strong attention to detail and cross functional relationship building
- Project management skills
