The Opportunity
This role presents an outstanding chance to lead our Enterprise Fraud Cyber Risk team and drive world-class fraud prevention strategies at Ally Financial. As the Director of Enterprise Fraud Cyber Risk, you will determine and implement innovative solutions to safeguard our financial returns while balancing risk and return. Your expertise will help craft our Deposits Fraud program and directly contribute to our company's success.
This position will be responsible for leading the execution and enhancement of the effective challenge of the Deposits Fraud program and serving as a strategy, control, and testing subject matter expert supporting the business and related Enterprise functions.

The Work Itself
- Maintain, monitor, and test an excellent Fraud Prevention, Detection, and Investigations program supporting Ally’s Deposits business.
- Use outstanding fraud processes, infrastructure, strategies, and tools to accurately identify and manage fraud risk across all Deposits Products and Channels (Online, Mobile, Contact Center, and Back Office).
- Manage fraud risk with the highest level of visibility and rigor through developing and managing operational and executive metrics.
- Maintain satisfactory fraud program performance on the Ally Deposits portfolio.
- Improve and manage the efficient challenge program encompassing monitoring, testing, addressing customer concerns, and reporting to identify and reduce fraud risks.
- Manage a team responsible for advanced investigations and related investigative review processes.
- Build fraud awareness, education, and referral/alert notification processes.
- Communicate portfolio performance, initiatives, and threats to senior management and portfolio teams through executive summaries, dashboards, and portfolio reviews.
- Use Fraud Subject Matter Expertise to complete projects that improve Ally’s overall fraud controls.
- Build and maintain relationships across the business line and enterprise functions to ensure effective influence required to meet Fraud Risk goals.
- Represent the Enterprise Fraud team on risk assessments and mitigation plan development for new products and business growth opportunities.
- Prioritize and deliver work efforts using direct and indirect staff of investigators, analysts, and subject matter experts.
- Collaborate with the EFSI Fusion Center to identify, notify, and remediate internal and external threats.
- Collaborate with technology teams to drive improvements of system capabilities for the fraud value stream.
- Participate in consortium groups and industry conferences to stay apprised of industry threat trends.
The Skills You Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field is required.
- +7 years of 1st or 2nd line fraud risk management experience or related Audit experience in a retail banking or financial services environment.
- Proven understanding of Deposits fraud risk management.
- Familiarity with SAR guidelines.
- Familiarity with tactics used to commit cyber fraud and tools used to prevent successful attempts.
- Basic knowledge of technology architecture and security of web, mobile, and telephone-based financial services.
- Proficient writer of corporate policies and communications.
- Ability to lead, manage, and motivate staff through vision communication, leading by example, and passion for flawless execution.
- Understanding and dedication to continuous business improvement processes.
- Analytical ability to develop and complete strategic and tactical plans.
- Strong knowledge of operational facets of various financial service product lines.
