Ally and Your Career

Ally Financial only succeeds when its people do - and that’s more than some cliché people put on job postings. We live this stuff! We see our people as, well, people - with interests, families, friends, dreams, and causes that are all important to them. Our focus is on the health and safety of our teammates as well as work-life balance and diversity and inclusion. From generous benefits to a variety of employee resource groups, we strive to build paths that encourage employees to stretch themselves professionally. We want to help you grow, develop, and learn new things. You’re constantly evolving, so shouldn’t your opportunities be, too?

The Opportunity

The Ally Lender Finance business extends revolving lines of credit to asset managers, private credit funds, specialty finance companies, and/or BDCs. The Associate, Portfolio Management is primarily responsible for assisting in the day to day management of a portfolio of asset based loans, which are backed by a portfolio of loan assets originated by Lender Finance clients. Associates typically have 3-5 years of middle market leveraged lending experience and have a strong demonstrated knowledge of market trends and deal terms. Individuals work with other senior members of the team to collect and audit data provided by asset managers, specialty finance companies, and/or BDCs, in accordance with the underlying loan documents and established corporate policies with a goal of minimizing loan losses. The Associate, Portfolio Management evaluates loan performance and credit quality, and assists with asset valuation and trend analysis. Additionally, the role frequently interfaces with Ally LF support functions, including credit approval, legal, loan administration and operations. The Associate, Portfolio Management plays an instrumental role in supporting senior level Portfolio Management staff.
