The Opportunity


Operationalize a single point integration team for optimal communications of process and systems to third party collection agencies with minimal supervision. This role will consist of providing support to our legal service providers and serving as a legal witness when the need should arise. Implementation of projects as assigned by management to determine effectiveness and potential risk verse benefit to process and procedure updates. Support processes associated with supplier performance management and continuing monitoring for third party service providers conducting recovery collection activities on behalf of Ally. Responsible for creation and tracking of all witness requests and travel related items.

The Work Itself

  • May review any compliance/cost issues related to supplier
  • May assist in developing/refining appropriate metrics to measure supplier performance
  • May be responsible for assisting in supplier due diligence
  • Travel to trials in order to serve as Ally witness, as need arises
  • Delivers continuously improving year-on-year expense results and performance lift by improving processes and increasing productivity. 
  • Builds solid peer-to-peer relationships in a team environment to meet operational needs. 
  • Communicates effectively and clearly on a daily, weekly, monthly basis with vendors to provide exceptional service regarding routine and escalated requests. 
  • Supports rigorous quality, control and compliance programs to include an ongoing control/compliance self-assessment process. 
  • Performs data entry, system coding, inventory audits, reconciliations, etc. to ensure alignment between vendor systems and Ally systems. 
  • Responds promptly to vendor requests (information, data, letter generation, etc.) as needed.  Advanced data entry and word processing skills. 
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills
  • Computer skills sufficient to operate on-line system and complex software or develop formulas for moderately sophisticated spreadsheets; 
  • Ability to exercise judgment to research and solve operational problems where the answer is not apparent;

The Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or applicable years of business experience preferred. 
  • 3+ years of Recovery Industry knowledge and or financial services industry knowledge.
  • High level of written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Detail oriented with strong problem-solving skills; strong analytical skills
  • Negotiation/conflict resolution skills
  • Must be an independent worker with strong time management skills
  • Project / Process Management framework knowledge and application is a preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and assignments; able to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Able to travel overnight (25% +/-)
