The Opportunity
As an Associate Analyst - Business Intelligence under a centrally created Data Solutions Support team for auto, you will be responsible for driving next gen data analytics solutions for Ally’s auto finance business unit. You will be responsible for working with operations, business intelligence, and data management teams to build scalable data products and solutions.
The Work Itself
- Partner with the business to provide consultancy and translate the business needs to design and develop tools, techniques, metrics, and dashboards for insights and data visualization.
- Retrieve data from multiple data sources and build data pipelines using SQL and/or Python
- Support production reports and automation jobs. Ensure accuracy, stability and performance.
- Build data products and provide automated solutions, leveraging multiple data tools: Snowflake, Python, Power BI, DBT and more.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree

- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with SQL quires, data visualization tools and Python.
- Experience gathering business requirements, using industry standard business intelligence tools to extract data, formulate metrics and build reports
- Analytical drive to break down complex problems, and a strong motivation to deliver results
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills and an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
- Demonstrated ability to initiate, develop and execute small to medium scale projects
- Technical curiosity about data and data tools. Quick learner and ready to learn and adopt new methods to deliver results
- Background in Computer Information Systems, Data Science, or Statistics
