The Work Itself
- Use new technology to solve Ally’s largest technical challenges
- Help build and influence our technical direction while designing and solving complex architecture business problems in a simple and scalable way
- Navigate Ally’s current and future technology selections
- Faithfully represent, communicate, and carry out the direction of Enterprise Architecture leadership to ensure design meets Ally standards, from end-to-end, across all customer journeys
- Engage and lead colleagues in co-creation, knowledge sharing, constructive critique, and process improvement to elevate the practice of design at Ally
- Serve as a mentor for other architects and peers to help them grow in their technical responsibilities and remove blockers
- Interface regularly with business partners to share insights and build consensus on the most competitive architecture direction
- Protect Ally customers by guiding delivery teams in the implementation of Ally standard requirements, security standards, methodology and processes
- Represent the architecture practice—its ideals, standards, and methods—as an advocate, leading contributor, and subject matter expert to influence product enhancements that drive adoption and inspire client loyalty
The Skills You Bring
- 5+ years of Enterprise Architecture experience with a focus on user experience, organizing/conducting/analyzing quantitative or qualitative research, and recommending design-oriented solutions
- Strong communication skills with ability to communicate complex technical concepts and align cross-functional organizations around architecture decisions
- Passion for creating value for both internal and external Ally users, and enthusiasm for Agile processes that help develop these products
- Expertise in software development processes, specifically within the IT Architecture and Infrastructure space
- Desire to work within a diverse group of people and passion for challenging the status quo
- Experience with rapid, iterative development cycles and continuous integration and continuous deployment technologies
