Work Schedule: Ally designates roles as (1) fully on-site, (2) hybrid, or (3) fully remote. Hybrid roles are generally expected to be in the office a certain number of days per week as indicated by your manager. Your hiring manager will discuss this role's specific work requirements with you during the hiring process. The Opportunity

The Analyst – Program Management & Governance does anything possible to help the team perform at their highest level. This involves removing any impediments to progress, facilitating meetings and working with the product owners to ensure product is ready for the next sprint. 

The successful candidate will have extensive experience guiding teams and organizations on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to increase customer satisfaction. 

The Work Itself

  • Conduct Kanban/Scrum ceremonies (ceremonies and methodology is tailored to the applicable team/squad)
  • Facilitates the sizing of stories during the planning sprint, backlog grooming, or sprint planning sessions for the team.
  • Develop, administer, and manage Jira boards
  • Develops and maintains a productive working relationship with business owners, product owners, project sponsors, vendors and key clients.
  • Establishing team level cadence and driving team level ceremonies (e.g. sprint planning, team retrospectives, backlog grooming, etc.
  • Ability to facilitate working sessions as needed to capture detailed requirements and write user stories to assist business partners
  • Work with the teams to drive the definition and refinement of the program and team backlogs.
  • Escalate to leadership where needed and where possible remove impediments for the team(s).
  • Maintain metrics that provide visibility to stakeholders on team-level progress and quality.
  • Act as a liaison to assigned program manager and project managers.
  • Take responsibility for managing dependencies between the program team and third parties, release managers, or between the team and other scrum teams.  various project teams
  • Provide real time feedback to the methodology team based on experiences with software delivery teams.
  • Ensures scope, goals, milestones, budget, risk, status, change requests and critical issues are effectively communicated to the client and project team.
  • Use historical velocity and planned velocity to assist team with commitments 

The Skills You Bring

  • Agile, Scrum certification (e.g. CSM, PSM, SAFe, etc.) from accredited institution preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience working as a project manager or scrum master required, 3+ years of experience is preferred.
  • 2+ years leading and administering projects using a tool such as Jira, or similar project management system (e.g. VersionOne, Teamwork, Confluence, etc.) preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree required with a relevant field of study in Computer Science, Information Systems preferred.
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM or related certification strongly preferred)
  • Thorough understanding and experience working with both agile and waterfall methodologies on large scale, technically complex projects.

Base Pay Range: $55000 - $95000 USD
An individual's position in the range is determined by the specific role, the scope and responsibilities of the role, work experience, education, certification(s), training, and additional qualifications. We review internal pay, the competitive market, and business environment prior to extending an offer. 
Incentive Compensation: This position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan.
