The Opportunity

The analyst will assist with preparation and reporting across multiple investor relations activities including quarterly earnings, peer research and analysis, investor conferences, and other engagement with debt and equity investors, and research analysts.

The Work Itself

The position will support the investor relations team with primary responsibilities including, but not limited to:
    • Preparation of presentations for the financial community
    • Coordinating with various business units to compile and analyze financial results during earnings release process
    • Working collaboratively with various teams to stay current on business trends to help guide messaging to the Street
    • Assist with preparation and reporting of stock price and valuation vs. peers, investor perception and industry news
    • Attend various industry expert calls and summarize key takeaways
    • Assist in planning for investor conferences and non-deal roadshows
    • Assist in preparation of materials summarizing Ally’s institutional ownership via 13F filings
    • Contribute to ad hoc analytical projects as necessary, both within and beyond your primary area of focus


    The Skills You Bring

    1-3 years of experience, preferably in Financial ServicesBS/BBA degree in Finance/Accounting or related field preferredThrives in a multitasking environmentHigh integrity and strong work ethicAbility to communicate effectively, both written and verbal.Enjoys working cross-functionally with teammates across the enterpriseAdvanced MS PowerPoint and MS Excel skillsExperience developing and delivering presentationsAbility to organize data, perform independent analysis, and prepare management presentations
