The Opportunity

This position will be a primary force behind impactful go-to-market reporting, data, and operations. In support of Ally’s “Ally Dealer Rewards” program, this role will be called on to navigate the exciting world of Auto-Finance dealer reward programs, support business decisions, and be a liaison between Sales and Data Management. This role will require a proactive, nimble mind to maintain business requirements in real-time while also managing the necessary data organization, change management, data governance, risk mitigation, and communications to multiple stakeholder partners. All of these will directly contribute to Ally’s excellence as a best-in-class auto-lender.

The Work Itself

  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to design, develop, implement, and support impactful reports, tools, and pursuant data models
  • Design, build, execute, and service data transformation models using SQL, SAS, and/or Python
  • Cultivate and leverage substantive understanding of the Ally Dealer Rewards (ADR) program
  • Execute monthly data, reporting, and validation functions related to ADR payments
  • Provide scheduled and as-needed training for internal customers regarding available reports, tools, and ADR programs
  • Provide assistance with dealer enrollments and ADR program exceptions
  • Develop, update, and maintain procedural documentation and controls to ensure policy compliance, risk mitigation, and accuracy
  • Support leadership and stakeholder partners in providing ongoing evaluation and ad-hoc analytics related to Ally Dealer Rewards

The Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or other highly quantitative field of study
  • 2+ years of relevant experience preferred
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of:
    • Query Languages: Python, SQL, SAS
    • MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Power BI models and report building
    • Experience in similar technologies (Tableau, Cognos, Crystal Reports) will be considered
  • High level of written and oral communication/presentation skills
  • Detail oriented with strong problem-solving skills
  • Aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis and research methods
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work flow
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work in a matrix environment
  • Auto finance knowledge or experience a plus
