The Work Itself
- Responsible for day-to-day activities within AML Analytics and Operations, specifically the Data Science team
- Support monitoring of current AML processes and developing new transactional and/or behavioral processes and models as needed
- Leverage machine learning capabilities where applicable to support model development initiatives and model tuning, as needed
- Assist with migration to new technology platforms, as applicable
- Ability to utilize high performance relational databases (SAS, SQL Server, Snowflake, etc.) to perform tasks as assigned.
- Perform ad-hoc reporting from managers and other senior leaders for other AML functions, as needed
- Support teammates by conducting validation of new and updated processes
- Maintain a current understanding of money laundering and terrorist financing issues, including policies, procedures, regulations, industry best practice, criminal typologies and developing trends
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
The Skills You Bring
- Bachelors' Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics or related major preferred
- Experience in data analytics or related field preferred
- Programming knowledge using Python and SQL required
- Experience working with large and complex data sets, synthesizing information, presenting results, and creative problem solving a plus
- Knowledge with data extraction from Snowflake data warehouse is a plus
- Experience performing statistical analysis and developing models is a plus
- Familiar with Data Science concepts and applications
- Strong research skills, advanced skill in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access, and experience with on-line research systems
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work well with others and prioritize workload and balance multiple duties
- Possess independent analytical skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment
