This position provides a key entry point for any data analyst wanting to understand our systems, products, and the data within. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about Ally Dealership Insurance, while connecting knowledge of the business, systems, and cloud-based tools. This position will assist the Ally Dealership Insurance business unit in sustaining upmost data quality across all programs and provide analytics to support data-driven decisions.
The Work Itself
- Apply logic and reasoning to analyze data quality from partner companies
- Assist in PBI dashboard builds and background data aggregation
- Assist in dealer taxonomy project to sustain dealer code management across Ally Auto and Ally Insurance
- Reconcile data from partner companies and evaluate differences for root cause
- Support presentation material compilation in PowerPoint
- Locate and define new process improvement opportunities to generate efficiencies
- Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain consolidation processes
The Skills You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Information Science or similar background required
- 1+ years of Data and Business Analysis preferred
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong organizational, analytical, interpersonal and problem solving skills
- Programming Proficiency: SQL or Python preferred
- Data Visualization Experience: PBI or Tableau preferred
