The Opportunity
We are looking for a team member with excellent communication skills, with a background in technology, business intelligence, and strong logic and problem solving. This team member will support growing Analytics capabilities and emerging technologies for the Originations Team. At this time, Ally will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.
The Work Itself
- Responsible for the design, development and support of Business Intelligence solutions in Data Solutions Support – Business Intelligence & Data Products Team, to meet reporting and analytic needs from our business partners
- Implement robust, reliable and custom reporting and visualizations using BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Excel)
- Develop and maintain self-service reporting solutions and/or automated solutions
- Develop and maintain data pipelines using SQL, Python, DBT, Snowflake
- Use SQL as main tool for data preparation: extracting, cleansing, aggregation and summarizing data
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of data by creating automated testing scripts
- Participate in the design and implementation of logical and physical data models
- Review proposed production changes to ensure highest quality data standards and lowest production impact
- Navigate, understand, and leverage existing complex data structures for reporting
- Support production BI solutions by monitoring and tuning SQL queries and data loads
- Addressing user inquiries/questions related to data & reports
- Monitoring performance and communicating functional and technical issues proactively
The Skills You Bring
- Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred
- 1+ years of analytical experience required
- 1+ years in Consumer Lending industry is preferred.
- Complex Problem-solving skills
- Strong platform & tool skills
- Strong background building and maintaining data infrastructure
- General understanding of the requirements of the entire function
- Strong technical knowledge and/or skills for area of expertise AND/OR management knowledge of Data Analytics reporting and management
- Data platforms & Other Tools: Snowflake, DBT, Power Platform,
- Database: Snowflake (Preferred), Oracle, MySQL etc.
- Scripting/Query Languages: (Required Intermediate -Advance) – SQL(Preferred), Python (Preferred), SAS
- Reporting - Power BI (Preferred )
