A QA Automation Tech Lead at Ally drives the collection and analysis of data that leads to the design, development, and deployment of software solutions that keep Ally running.  Their knowledge of software testing and quality assurance processes make them integral in the completion of complex projects that continually add value to Ally’s technology.

The Work Itself

  • Lead project lifecycle activities from initiation to closure including estimating, planning, resourcing, budgeting, capacity, development, quality assurance, deployment, and post-production support

  • Deliver agile infrastructure technology solutions that accomplish the business objectives with on-time delivery, budget adherence, and exceptional quality

  • Work with business and technology stakeholders to solidify project objectives and scope

  • Manage capacity closely to achieve the planned project budget

  • Support the business and infrastructure in defining change management plans to ensure acceptance within the organization of the new solution

  • Develop automation strategy to support regression testing based on technical analysis, complexity, and reusability

  • Lead QA Automation team members through mentorship & continuous tutorials to guarantee team success

The Skills You Bring

  • 5+ years of QA Automation and/or Technical Leadership experience preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Desire to work within a diverse group of people and passion for challenging the status quo
  • Experience with rapid, iterative development cycles and continuous integration and deployment of technologies
  • Enthusiasm for staying up-to-date on tech industry developments and is excited to share and engage the Ally community on new advancements
  • Experience with Selenium, Java, Python and SQL
  • Experience in API manual testing and automation, using ReadyAPI tools
