The Opportunity

This position in the Credit Card Operations business will be responsible for implementing targeting strategy changes in various digital affiliate platforms. The targeting strategy intent will be defined by Marketing and Credit and will generally consist of binary criteria, segmentation defines, model score cuts, and product allocation rules. The individual in this role will take the English description of the strategy intent, code it into the format/language relevant to each affiliate platform, implement the code and perform various validation activities before and after the code is installed.

Ally Credit Card is a team that has combined the experience of seasoned talent from across the card industry with advanced analytical and machine learning techniques to develop and optimize our business. The Work Itself

  • Understand strategy intent provided by business teams and design most efficient modifications that will avoid unntended consequences
  • Code strategy intent in the required coding language (Python primarily)
  • Conduct code reviews with intent authors to confirm code reflects strategy intent
  • Perform UAT testing after coding intent. Review results with intent providers, update code as needed and repeat UAT iteratively until results are acceptable
  • Clearly document strategy change log and UAT results
  • Implement the strategy change, working with affiliate partners as required
  • Conduct post-install validation

The Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Information Technology or related field
  • 2-4 years' experience in software development lifecycle-writing and testing code, implementation planning, release management, etc
  • High degree of proficiency at coding in Python
  • Demonstrated rigorous attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to ensure clear understanding of intent and documentation of code, create and communicate testing results
  • Strong inter-personal skills, collaborative team-player
  • Thrives in fast-paced environment, self motivated work ethic and drive for results
