The Opportunity

The AML Program Sr. Analyst (Technology & Systems) in Ally’s Financial Crimes Compliance organization helps to support and facilitate the vision and strategic modernization of AML technologies, systems, and processes by providing critical support to the AML Investigations team. AML Investigations team is responsible for conducting investigations to identify suspicious activity which may be related to money laundering, and then filing SARs to report the activity.  The Senior Analyst (Systems and Technology) within the AML Investigations Program Team will be critical to balancing the current Case Management Tool (CMT) enhancements while at the same time manage the build-out of the new case management system/AML Modernization initiatives.

The Work Itself

The Investigations AML Program Senior Analyst (Systems/Technology) will coordinate with relevant technology stakeholders, manage UAT/Testers, data gathering, and create technical AML Investigations material such as testing scripts and user guides.  Specifically, this role will:

  • Support in tracking CMT Enhancements/AML Modernization initiatives including status, dependencies, and roadblocks to current and planned initiatives and ensure the team is kept abreast of all pertinent updates.
  • Support CMT sustain enhancements: lead AML Investigations engagement in epic/story design, development, and prioritization support enhancement projects and initiatives, as well as RPA/Bots meetings, projects, and enhancements 
  • Support AML Modernization activities: lead AML Investigations engagement in data gathering, support testing efforts, support modernization projects and initiatives, UAT/Testers
  • Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT), escalate bugs/defects identified in CMT/CRS, AML Modernization (Actimize)
  • Support all AML cross-functional technology projects that often require shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment and deliver on commitments to meet the AML Investigations Unit’s needs
  • Act as a hands-on teammate; willing to dive in and provide project-related assistance in any capacity
  • Evaluate AML Investigations tools effectiveness and ensure tools are operating at expected levels
  • Perform ongoing assessment of testing results, including but not limited to, audit, exam and internal testing results, and recommend, to identify, develop and recommend and assist in the development of topical training tools and resources for the lines of business and enterprise functions.
  • Participate in timely responses to regulatory exams and internal audits serving coordinator for the collection of materials and tracking/reporting of issue remediation.
  • Assist in preparation of Compliance related management reports.
  • Support with annual and ad-hoc training for BSA/AML and OFAC and maintains written training and awareness program documentation.
  • Supports AML Program Management on special projects and other key initiatives.
  • 314b/Training – provide support and back-up to 314b process and Training activities
  • Other Activities: support with oversight activities, support training, data gathering, emerging risks/trends, QC trends; Support with Metrics and PowerBI Reporting
 

The Skills You Bring

  •  Bachelors’ degree in Business, Information Technology or related major
  • 3+ years of related compliance experience
  • 1+ years in project management, technology/systems, or analytics preferred
  • Demonstrates technical acumen; baseline knowledge of how software systems & application components work together
  • Possess independent analytical skills
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations, including the BSA, USA PATRIOT Act, and OFAC compliance
  • Ability to respond quickly to a changing environment
  • Attention to detail and superior written and oral communication skills with an ability to communicate and influence effectively
  • Ability to identify and make recommendations to maximize efficiency and effectiveness
  • Proven ability to simultaneously accomplish multiple assignments and prioritize work as needed to meet business needs
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Strong PC skills required: Advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint proficiency is a must
  • General openness - wants to learn and excel in all aspects of job - ambitious but willing to perform tasks at all levels, including some routine or administrative tasks. High aptitude for new skills, flexibility around work assignments, and strong desire to work as part of a team.
