The Opportunity
Ally is among the leading providers of Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance packages to franchised auto dealers in the country. Ally is the exclusive distributor of an Ally-branded garage insurance product that provides the majority of a dealer’s insurance needs. As a Dealer Relations Advocate, you will act as a liaison between our dealers and our internal/external claim partners. You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to our dealer partners, maintaining positive working relationships, and advocating for their needs. You will also collaborate with claim teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of claims and resolution of any issues or concerns raised by our dealer partners. Location: hybrid in-office in Detroit, MI or Schaumburg, IL.
The Work Itself
- Serve as the main point of contact for insured dealers regarding claims processing and related inquiries
- Collecting, verifying, and submitting loss information to appropriate claim departments.
- Communicate effectively with insureds via phone, email, and in-person to provide updates, resolve issues, and address concerns
- Advocate for insureds within the organization and with third-party partners by voicing their feedback and needs and helping to implement improvements and solutions
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Ally's products, processes, and policies to accurately answer dealer inquiries and provide guidance
- Identify and escalate any potential issues or concerns to management and work to find resolutions
The Skills You Bring
- 3+ years’ experience in Insurance industry. Commercial Insurance experience is preferred
- Required to be licensed or ability to be licensed as producer/adjuster in appropriate states
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
- High level of accountability & ability to effectively prioritize tasks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external teams
- Outstanding internal & external customer service skills
- Familiarity with claim processing preferred
